On Sunday 28th April Guardian FC were back in competitive football action as we competed in the Theo Cup in support of The Childrens Hospital Charity! Having drawn 2-2 in normal time, this year was not meant to be for the lads who went out on penalties in the knockout stages.
Despite the whirlwind playing conditions of wind and rain, our guys loved the day out picking up some beers, burgers and the 3 points along the way.
Our team was over the moon to have contributed to the total of £3600 that was raised for the charity by the event. It was great to see such a fantastic turn-out on the day. We are already looking forward to the next event as we look to build upon this year’s performance with the title as the goal to reach.
