A thermographic survey is undertaken using thermal imaging cameras which detect heat. They allow our inspectors to find any weaknesses (also known as ‘Hotspots’) within electrical components. It also provides an in-depth look at testing and helps to detect any risks that have been missed from a visual inspection.
Whenever Guardian undergo a fixed wire inspection and testing programme, thermographic surveys are always included for free as part of our complete managed compliance service.
Why is undergoing a thermographic survey so important?
