😱⚡Prior to ourselves being on-site, this specific client recently had some work carried out via another contractor. However, as a result of this, issues began to occur and resultantly got in touch with us to attend site and investigate why they were suffering power loss following Solar PV install – what we found was shocking!
🤯Firstly, the cabling installed within the device had been cut down to enable the conductors to fit in to the terminals, due to poor installation methods without sufficient slack on the cabling. In addition to this, the neutral conductor for the circuit has had a reducing pin fitted due to the reduced size on the neutral, however it had been installed into the earth bar of the supply distribution panel!
👍Thankfully, there were no further consequences as a result of the poorly installed cables thanks to the swift and thorough work of our engineers. The client was further contacted for a quotation for the remedial action to ensure the defects were rectified and compliant.
