Appointment Generator/ Customer Account Development (Home based in Scotland)


Guardian Electrical Compliance Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of electrical safety services, specifically
inspection and testing of fixed installations. This vibrant and progressive Company requires a home-based appointment
generator. Our current client base consists of many blue-chip organisations, and 70+ universities and hospitals.

The Appointment Generator will be responsible for generating, qualified appointments from our existing database, with a specific focus in Scotland.

Experience & Capabilities

Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A proven track record of successful outbound calling
  • A high degree of self-motivation
  • A conversational telephone style
  • Ability to grasp and memorise a ‘sales by education’ approach to appointment generation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts
  • Effectively partner with field sales staff operating in Scotland


Fundamental to this role is the requirement for appointment generation. Knowledge gained from this process will guarantee a holistic, well rounded approach to future customer development and management.

  • The main priority will be to generate, qualified appointments from our existing database, using a prepared bullet pointed script, to be developed/amended as required.
  • Appointment generation via Outbound calls – warmish leads, currently circa 2,000 clients throughout the UK, many blue chip, universities and hospitals.
  • Following the regular issue of Guardian Marketing Packs, client contact will be instigated by telephone and supported by email as necessary.
  • In tandem with the foregoing will be good, professional database management, including accurate notes, diary management and categorisation of sales leads.
  • Provision of administrative support to the Sales Team generally, in order that the department can continue to function efficiently and controlled growth can be progressively achieved.
  • Relationship & customer account development through a combination of your experience, initiative,
    testimonials, literature and the high professional standing that Guardian currently has. 
  • Closing of quotations as appropriate by partnering and supporting a member of the sales team. 
  • Demonstrations of our unique, interactive website, TraQit over the telephone as required.

The foregoing list is not exhaustive, given the demands & flexibility required to evolve a progressive business. 

Additional Details

Salary: £23k – £25k per annum with benefits, paid monthly in arrears, dependent on experience (to be reviewed after three months).
Hours/details of work;
Agreed working hours – 08:30 to 16:30 Monday – Friday but can be flexible.
Home Working – phone and internet bills paid by Guardian.
