Customer Account Developer – Sheffield


Guardian Electrical Compliance Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of electrical safety services, specifically inspection and testing of fixed installations on a nationwide basis, to many blue chip companies and public sector organisations.
Our experience spans a variety of industries and working environments, from education to manufacturing and production. This vibrant and progressive company now requires an experienced Customer Account Developer.


Fundamental to this role is the requirement for appointment generation. Knowledge gained from this process will guarantee a holistic, well rounded approach to future customer development and management.

  • The main priority will be to generate, qualified appointments from our existing database, using a prepared bullet pointed script, to be developed/amended as required. In addition, appointment generation via existing ‘associated company’ data
  • Primarily, development of new business throughout the UK
  • Database management, including accurate notes, diary management and categorisation of sales leads
  • Provision of administrative support to the Sales team generally, in order that the department can continue to function efficiently and controlled growth can be progressively achieved
  • Relationship & customer account development through a combination of your experience and initiative, combined with current Guardian testimonials and literature
  • Closing of quotations as appropriate by partnering and supporting a member of the sales team
  • Telephone demonstrations of our unique, interactive website, TraQit.

Experience/Knowledge Required

  • Proven outbound telesales experience
  • A warm conversational style of appointment generation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer relationship builder, skilled at influencing
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business results/KPI’s
  • Energy, commitment and a positive attitude to achieving results
  • A professional committed team player
  • Customer orientation.

Additional Information

Salary: £19k – £21k dependant on age and experience.(To be reviewed after three months).

Hours of work;  Agreed working hours – 08:30 to 16:30 Monday – Thursday and 07:30 to 15:30 on Friday.

Office Location: Sheffield

Holidays;  25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.
