Electrical Engineering Remedial Manager – Sheffield

Our experience spans a variety of industries and working environments, from education to manufacturing and production. This vibrant and progressive company now requires an experienced Electrical Engineering Remedial Manager.

A combination of recent market research regarding remedial works, together with our industry leading software, TraQit, has identified a huge opportunity to enhance and complement our traditional delivery of Fixed Wire Inspection & Testing.
In consequence, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Remedial Manager to develop a nationwide business.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Senior Management to deliver business objectives in line with the company business plan
  • Build strong relationships within the sales team to ensure stretching targets are achieved
  • Build on the existing remedial department and deliver a nationwide remedial service to satisfy the requirements of our client portfolio
  • Working with the Operations Manager to ensure operational teams are trained and equipped to undertake their roles effectively and efficiently and that compliance with statutory requirements in respect to the EaWR 1989 and BS 7671:2018 is maintained at all times
  • Professional representation of the company in customer meetings
  • Manage and maintain the communication channels to team members and customers
  • Monitor and act upon KPIs
  • Support the Operations Manager, Planning and IT Manager as appropriate in the deployment of new technology and data base role out to field engineers
  • Provide support to the Sales Department both on site and in the Office to ensure a consistency of approach, with respect to identification of electrical infrastructure, timescales and associated costing practice.

Experience/Knowledge Required

  • A proven track record of developing a remedial type business from sales through to job completion
  • Excellent understanding of relevant statutory Health & Safety legislation.
  • Proven experience in commercial management
  • Awareness of short and long-term issues within a remedial type business and the ability to provide resolutions based on experience and initiative.
  • An excellent supervisor and leader of people including effective performance management

  • Electrical trade background
  • Excellent I.T. and telephone skills

Additional Information

Remuneration and package: Commensurate with age and experience.(To be reviewed after three months).

  • Full time position: Available immediately
  • Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday, 7.30am – 3.30pm Friday
  • Salary Bracket: 19k – 22k (including overtime)
