The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is the national independent regulator for health and safety in the workplace throughout Great Britain. They inspect, investigate and take enforcement action when necessary to prevent work-related injuries and illness.

According to Health and Safety legislation the duty holder has the responsibility towards their employees to provide information, instruction, training and supervision. The duty holder has a responsibility to ensure electrical safety and complete compliance in the workplace to help prevent incidents.
